 Cabo has two air pots; a larger international one near San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) about 55 min from the resort, and a smaller airport called Cabo San Lucas (CSW) only about 20 min from the resort)

FLYING DIRECT OR ONE STOP:

• Southwest  has one daily 8am direct flight from LAS to SJD  (arrives 11am) in the summer months. 
• AA and Numerous Airlines LAS to LAX to SJD
• AA and Numerous Airlines LAS to PHX to SJD
• AA Numerous Airlines LAS to DFW to SJD
• Numerous Airlines from HOU, ATL or MIA all direct to SJD
• Alaskan Air has SEA or SAN direct to SJD
• JetSuite X (JSX) flies direct (8:30am) into the closer airport (CSW) via LAX; However from Vegas you would need to fly to LAX the night before and stay at LAX as there is not enough time to fly from Vegas in the morning with golf clubs and still transfer from the commercial terminal to the private JSX terminal in time for the 8:30am flight

To Play the Thu 1pm Practice Round I plan to either fly SW (early Thu morning direct or the prior night) or JSX (Wed Night to LAX, stay LAX, fly CSW Thu morning )

1) You Pay the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica directly for all-inclusive resort accommodations

2) You Pay Kevin Directly for Tourney Entry / Golf via Venmo (@kvon75) or Zelle (617-335-1690) 

To secure your roster spot book hotel (via 1-night deposit) and then pay Kevin:

• Golf Course Access Requires Hotel Stay. Final Resort Payment Due April 2026

• Book your own airfare and any extra spa or offsite excursions directly
• Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is Adults Only - Contact Kevin if you plan to bring kids under 18

• If this is your first year playing in the Tin Cup you will be drafted onto one of the teams (The Noonans or the Spauldings)
• Once drafted you will then be contacted by your team captain.  
• Once a Noonan, forever a Noonan.  Once a Spaulding forever a Spaulding

• Your team captain (Spauldings: Vonasek | Noonans: Vargas) will reach out to you to collect your shirt size and tell you the cost of your team's jersey if you don't already own one.

Some travel solo, some brings spouses/SOs. Others bring their entire family. It's up to you:

• Yes, while the golfers compete, the spouses/S.O.s, guests & children are invited to hangout for the weekend. However our resort is Adults Only so families with Kids under 18 must stay at the family friendly sister property. Kids are allowed to join us during the Thu night welcome mixer and the Sat night awards dinner (both private events).

The Tourney Prize Pool is a $55 Per Player Entry Fee:  

The following individual player prizes will be awarded before crowning the winning team's name upon the Tin Cup. Individual award winners will get to take their pick from the tournament prize in order as listed.

PRIZE POOL:  

The prize pool is a mix of PGA Store Gift Cards, top-end Bourbons, Scotches, Wine, Tequila as well as (where legally permitted) NV-legal cannabis products

In 2021 we lost Rob Melvin, a dear friend and Spaulding, much much too early to cancer.  Rob loved golfing with the guys, having a cigar and taking nothing too seriously on the golf course. More importantly he was an outstanding loving father and husband to his wife & kids and is sorely missed by all of his friends and family today.  

Rob was awarded the very first Tin Cup LV MVP in 2018 because after surprising the Spauldings with free team jerseys, he then went on to win plenty of holes in support of the Spaulding's inaugural Tin Cup LV victory.  

The Melvin Award is issued to the player who lifted his team upon his shoulders in victory of the Tin Cup, while embodying team spirit, humor & humility and perhaps making a successful put from out of a bunker (which Rob was known to do from time to time).

In honor of winning such a prestigious award, the annual Mevlin Award winner received a commemorative cup and gets to pick his or her selection first from the prize pool.

Everyone is assigned to the first group of standard tees that come after any women's or senior's tees; however your foursome can elect to move up (or back) to any group of tees as long as everyone in the group unanimously agrees to do so.  

Everyone who is an 11 handicap or worse, can hit from the standard tees (the first tees behind any women's or senior's tees).  Anyone who is a 10 or better handicap, you must hit from the next group of tees behind the standard tees.  

The tee shot must land in the fairway to count as a longest drive prize ball, unless your ball is further (outside of the fairway AND your team elects to play that ball's location as your next shot in the scramble format).
